37% growth in UK EO sector – latest stats released

EODay #theEOeffect

UK employee owned sector grows by 37% in just 12 months to over 1,400 businesses. With 332 businesses transitioning in 2022 alone.

Friday 23rd June was EODay organised by the Employee Ownership Association to raise awareness of Employee Ownership and celebrate the EO community!

As sponsors of this year’s EODay all about #theEOeffect on people, business and the wider economy, celebrating 20 years of employee ownership work for our clients and becoming 100% employee owned ourselves in March this year, this EODay feels particularly special to us.

Founder and Managing Director, Robert Postlethwaite says,

“We’re delighted to have sponsored this year’s EO Day campaign. The latest figures on the growth of the EO sector powerfully illustrate the growing recognition of the positive effect EO can have on businesses, its people and our wider society. We strongly believe in the fantastic impact that employee ownership can have, which is why we ourselves transitioned to 100% employee ownership earlier this year.”

We celebrated EODay in the London office last week with some rather fabulous cookies!
